Another week, another set of new polls showing that the vast majority of Americans disapprove of Trump’s job performance and disastrous agenda. His approval ratings have continued to tank below even his first-term ratings as he has launched attack-after-attack on Americans’ basic freedoms while he pushes the US economy toward a recession. Just look at the numbers on how much the American people despise Trump’s agenda:
TRUMP’S AGENDA TANKS IN THE POLLS
- Trump’s agenda is polling at its worst since he took office in January. Net approval of his handling of national security (-3), Medicare and Social Security (-9), taxes (-8) and LGBTQ+ rights (-15) are all at record lows. His net approval ratings on immigration (+4) and trade (-7) are tied for record lows. (Morning Consult Poll)
- Just 28 percent of U.S. adults say the country is on the right track – a new low – while 60 percent say it’s on the wrong track. (Strength In Numbers/Verasight Poll)
- Even Republicans are feeling worse about the trajectory of the US. This month, the percentage of US adults who reported satisfaction with where the country is going dropped to its lowest level since Trump took office, with 29 percent reporting they’re satisfied. (Gallup Poll)
- 54 percent of Americans believe the U.S. economy is on the wrong track, more than in previous months. (Reuters Poll)
- More Americans disagree with Trump’s latest anti-immigration policy, with new polling finding that U.S. adults are more likely than they were a year ago to think immigrants in the country legally benefit the economy. (AP-NORC Poll)
- A new survey found that most Americans are critical of Trump’s handling of crime, tariffs, immigration and other top issues. (Washington Post-Ipsos Survey)
