15 State Legislators to Trump – End the Distraction: Release Epstein Files and Focus on Affordability Crisis

By November 18, 2025No Comments

Today, 15 state legislators from Colorado, Kentucky, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Vermont, and Wisconsin released a letter demanding Donald Trump release the full Epstein files and finally focus his administration on addressing the affordability crisis he created that is crushing American families. The letter follows Democratic victories that signaled widespread voter dissatisfaction with Trump’s economic agenda. Addressing Trump’s reversal of his opposition to a House vote demanding the files’ release, the legislators note that Trump could release the files with a stroke of a pen:

Your 11th hour decision to not fight a vote in the House that you were certainly going to lose is yet another dodge – you could order the full release of the files today so that we can all move forward and deal with the issues our voters and yours care about: making life affordable for American families.”

The letter goes on to say: “Mr. President, like elected officials at every level of service we are working hard to address the affordability crisis facing our constituents, but at the same time, we need good partners in Congress and good policies from you, the House, and the Senate to tackle the high cost of living squeezing so many American families. Release the files and let’s get on with the business of the American people.”

Trump’s economic policies have fueled an affordability crisis that’s devastating working families nationwide. Housing, groceries, health care, and energy costs are all surging. From farmers to small business owners, Americans are voicing deep concern about an economic agenda that rewards Trump’s wealthy donors while working Americans pay the price.
